Itenerary  ke Jepang selama 10 hari ini saya buat waktu backpacker ke Jepang kedua kalinya. Kali ini, saya bersama ibu dan adik saya. Karena datang bersama ibu saya itulah, itenerary ke Jepang ini saya buat agak santai dan tidak terlalu padat. Biar beliau tak terlalu letih.

Pada itenerary Jepang kali ini, saya tidak memasukkan Osaka sebagai tujuan utama (hanya optional), karena bagi saya, Osaka tidak terlalu menarik. Hanya kota besar biasa, yang sudah terwakili oleh Tokyo. Saya lebih memilih mengajak mereka mengunjungi Shirakawago dan Kanazawa.

Seperti biasanya, itenerary saya ini berubah banyak di TKP. Terutama karena tiba-tiba Jepang dilanda badai taufan hebat sehingga ada satu setengah hari yang terbuang begitu saja, karena saya mesti ngendon di apartemen. Badai ini juga berimbas pada tingginya curah hujan di Jepang, sehingga ada beberapa tempat yang mesti di-skip karena tidak bisa didatangi saat hujan.

Saya juga tidak membeli JRPass dengan dua alasan. Yang pertama, karena setelah dihitung-hitung, selisihnya bisa mencapai dua juta. Selisih ini selain karena harga bus lebih murah, dengan naik bus saya bisa mengirit biaya penginapan. Alasan yang kedua, saya jalan ke Jepang bareng ibu saya, sehingga tak bisa se-mobile dan seenak enaknya pindah kota, seperti halnya saat saya solo travelling. Keuntungan pake jrpass kan bisa menclok sana-sini, rugi dong kalo ga ke mana-mana.

Omicho Market (近江町市場, Ōmichō Ichiba)

Omicho Market is a 15-20 minute walk or a short bus ride from Kanazawa Station on the way to the city center. Get off at Musashigatsuji bus stop. It is served by most buses departing from the station’s east side, including the JR buses.

Myoryuji Temple (妙立寺, Myōryūji)

Take the Left Loop of the Kanazawa Loop Bus (15 minutes, 200 yen, departures every 15 minutes) to Hirokoji bus stop (bus stop number LL5) from where you can walk to the temple in about five minutes.

9:00 to 16:30 (until 16:00 during winter)

Higashi Chaya District (東茶屋街, Higashi Chayagai)

The Higashi Chaya District can be accessed by the Right Loop of the Kanazawa Loop Bus in about 10 minutes from Kanazawa Station. Get off at Hashibacho (Koban-mae) bus stop (number RL5), from where the district can be reached in a five minute walk.

Trying Tea House at Shima Teahouse

30 meters down the north side of the street
Hours: 9:00 to 18:00
Closed: No closing days
Admission: 500 yen

A preserved tea house, which has been converted into a museum. The rooms where geisha would perform and the kitchen are on display along with various instruments and items used by the geisha.

Kaikaro Teahouse

100 meters down the south side of the street
Hours: 9:00 to 17:00
Closed: No closing days
Admission: 750 yen

The Kaikaro Chaya is still an operating tea house, but opens its doors to the public. Tea service is included with admission.

Kanazawa Castle (金沢城, Kanazawajō)

Kenrokuen and the castle park are a stop along the tourist oriented Kanazawa Loop Bus (stop numbers LL9 and RL8) and the Kenrokuen Shuttle Bus (stop number S8). The one way ride from Kanazawa Station takes about 20 minutes and costs 200 yen (100 yen on weekends/holidays in the case of the Kenrokuen Shuttle Bus).

Optional: Luggage Storage at Kanazawa Station’s Baggage Room
If your luggage is too bulky for a locker, or if you can’t find an empty locker, you can leave it at the Baggage Room. This is located on a corridor on the south side of the main station concourse between the shinkansen ticket gates and the gates for the regular trains. The station ticket office is located on the same corridor. The Baggage Room opens at 10.00 am and closes at 20.00. The charge for one piece of luggage per day is 500 yen

Kanda House atau Wada House (tiket masuk: 300 yen), rumah Gassho-zukuri terbesar yang ada di desa tersebut. Dari dalam rumah tersebut barulah kita bisa merasakan keunikan struktur bangunan serta fitur-fitur arsitektur lainnya. Dari lantai atasnya terhampar pemandangan sekeliling desa yang super cantik. Selain Wada House ada juga 2 rumah Gassho-zukuri lain yang dibuka untuk umum (Kanda House dan Nagase House).
Gassho-zukuri Minkaen. Tempat ini merupakan museum terbuka yang letaknya di desa Ogimachi. Di museum ini berdiri berbagai rumah dan struktur bangunan (totalnya ada 27 bangunan) yang sengaja direlokasi dari berbagai tempat di Shirakawa-go untuk menghindari kerusakan.

Put luggage at locker station in Kyoto
Lockers can be found throughout the station building. They come in a range of sizes at fees of 300, 500 and 700 yen. There is usually a change machine nearby, or sign pointing the way to one. These are easy to use and can change 1000 yen notes for appropriate coins. If your luggage is too bulky for a locker you can use the Baggage Room on the B1 floor
10.00-12.00 The Kyoto Imperial Palace (京都御所, Kyōto Gosho)

Kyoto Imperial Palace is a short subway ride from Kyoto Station along the Karasuma Subway Line. Get off at Marutamachi (7 minutes, 260 yen) or Imadegawa Station (10 minutes, 260 yen). Note that Imadegawa Station is closer to the entrance gate of the Imperial Palace than Marutamachi Station.

14.00-16.00 To Fushimi Inari Taisha
JR Nara Line to JR Inari Station.located just outside JR Inari Station, the second station from Kyoto Station along the JR Nara Line (5 minutes, 140 yen one way from Kyoto Station, not served by rapid trains). The shrine can also be reached in a short walk from Fushimi Inari Station along the Keihan Main Line.
Kiyomizudera  清水寺

From Kyoto Station by bus number 100 or 206 (15 minutes, 220 yen). Get off at Gojo-zaka or Kiyomizu-michi bus stop, from where it is a ten minute uphill walk to the temple. Alternatively, Kiyomizudera is about a 20 minute walk from Kiyomizu-Gojo Station along the Keihan Railway Line.

Gion祇園

by bus from Kyoto Station in about 20 minutes for 220 yen. Take number 100 and 206 and get off at Gion bus stop. The closest train stations are Gion Shijo Station on the Keihan Line and Kawaramachi Station on the Hankyu Line.

  Osaka One Day Pass
  – Osaka Castle (大阪城 Osaka-jō), (The park can be accessed on a number of lines, but the castle is closest to Osaka-jō Koen station on the JR Osaka Loop Line.).
  – Shitennōji Temple (四天王寺), 1-1-18 Shitennōji Tennōji-ku (5 min. walk from Shitennōji-mae-Yuhiga-oka subway stop, or 15 min by walk north from Tennōji Station.).
  – Walk south (downhill) for about 10-15 min. to Tennoji station (very easy to find this huge station complex), observing the typical Osaka streets & stores along the way.
  – Sumiyoshi Shrine (住吉大社), (Access is from the Nankai line station of the same name; local trains run from Namba station in central Osaka.).
  – Tsūtenkaku (通天閣). While the original tower was built early 20th century, the current “newer” version is designed by the same Prof. Naitō, who also designed Tokyo Tower.
  – Umeda Sky Building (梅田スカイビル), 1-1-20 Oyodonaka, Kita-ku (10 min. walk from JR Osaka or Hankyu Umeda.), Observatory admission ¥700, 10AM-10:30PM daily.

Alternatif 1: Bus from Shijuku to Chuo EXPWY Shimo Yoshida bus stop.
And when you get off from the highway bus at Chuo EXPWY Shimo Yoshida bus stop, go straight to the left side and you will find a way to leave highway. Follow the signpost and you can easily access to Arakurayama Sengen Park. Then go to Kawaguchiko by train. Back to Tokyo by Highway bus
Arakura Sengen Shrine (optional):
Arakura Sengen Shrine is a ten minute walk from Shimo-Yoshida Station along the Fujikyu Railway Line (35 minutes, 960 yen from Otsuki or 10 minutes, 300 yen from Kawaguchiko). The pagoda is an additional five minute walk up the hill.
Take bus to Chuo EXPWY Shimo Yoshida bus stop.
Retro bus
Kachi-kachi Ropeway
15 minutes walking or 10 minutes by bus (stop at Ropeway-mae bus stop)
(The Retro Bus from Kawaguchiko Station along the lake shore operates every day as well.)
Direction: go straight to lake.
Before you take a ropeway, you can get a coupon in Kawaguchiko station. A round trip costs 800JPY, with coupon you can save 80JPY!

JR Joban Line from Ueno to Katsuta Station (about 80 minutes, around 3800 yen one way by limited express train or two hours and 2270 yen one way by local trains, both covered by the Japan Rail Pass and Tokyo Wide Pass) and transfer to a bus to the park (15 minutes, departures every 20-30 minutes).
Direct highway buses connect Tokyo Station with Hitachi Seaside Park. The one way ride takes about 2.5 hours.

The Asakusa Culture Tourist Information Center was newly opened in 2012, adding diversity to the streets of Asakusa with its interesting architectural design. The eight story building offers a tourist information desk in multiple languages, free wifi connectivity, a cafe, and an observation deck which provides good views looking onto Sensoji Temple and the Nakamise Shopping Street.

Getting There: The closest subway stations to Tokyo Tower are Onarimon Station on the Mita Subway Line and Akabanebashi Station on the Oedo Subway Line. You can also walk there from Hamamatsucho Station (North Exit) on the JR Yamanote and JR Keihin-Tohoku Line in about 15 minutes.

This riverside park stretches along both sides of Sumida River for several hundred meters. In spring it becomes a popular cherry blossom viewing spot, while on the last Saturday of July it becomes the site of the Sumida River Firework

By Keisei Limited Express
Direct limited express trains via the Sky Access Line connect Narita Airport and Asakusa about every 40 minutes except in the late afternoons and evenings. The one way journey takes one hour and costs 1290 yen. In addition, there are three connections per hour, which travel via the Keisei Main Line and require one easy transfer at Aoto Station. The one way journey takes about 80 minutes and costs 1100 yen.

  1. Mbak, dari Kanazawa ke Kyoto naik train Thunderbird bukan, beli nya dimana dan berapa ya. Trus naiknya apa dari Kanazawa Station or station apa ya, kemudian sampai di Kyoto turunnya di station apa ya.
    Sorry nih pertanyaannya terlalu detail krn route saya mirip dr Tokyo – Kanazawa – Shirakawago – Kanazawa – Kyoto. Cuman bingung kendaraannya apa saja selain JR.

    1. Iya betul, naik Thunderbird. Saya beli di stasiun pas nyampe di Kanazawa. Harganya saya lupa berapa.

      Naiknya dari Kanazawa Station (cuma satu itu stasiun di Kanazawa) dan sampenya di Kyoto Station (stasiun terbesar di Kyoto). Dari situ tinggal naik bus atau jalan sesuai tempat tinggalnya di mana.

    1. Pake willer. Blm pernah nyoba yang lain…
      Aku sih kmrn beli lgsg di tkp karena takutnya kalau beli onlen aku dtgnya ga ontime (krn bareng mama jadi bergeraknya lebih lambat). Tapi kalau bisa mastiin dtg ontime, mending beli online aja biar bisa dpt jam yg pagi.

        1. Yup, tapi kadang ada aja yang di luar perkiraan. Kayak pas saya di Jepang ini, sebenernya seharusnya dah lewat musim taifunnya, tapi tiba2 ada taifun. Nasib-nasiban deh…

          1. Kalau musim taifun bisa diketahui dari tahun-tahun sebelumnya, tapi kalau ada taifun tiba-tiba paling prediksinya seminggu sebelumnya akan lewat mana taifunnya. Di Jepang lumayan informatif sih dikasih taunya.

  5. 10 hari ya, WOW banget nih. Dalam bayanganku bakalan udah puas banget di sana. Btw untuk itinerary mungkin lumayan masuk juga buat family traveler kayak aku. Nggak terlalu padet tapi udah lumayan eksplor. Mungkin tinggal modifikasi dikit aja, sekaligus siapin dananya, hehe.

  6. Contekan itenerarynya udah dapet dan lengkap banged, jadi bisa lah di save dulu. Pertanyaan yang sama seperti Teh Herva, perkiraan budgetnya berapa ya Mba Rahma? Biar dipersiapkan tabungannya dulu.

    1. Yup bener. Aku selalu naro kota kepulangan di akhir. Biar ga repot ke bandaranya dan jaga-jaga (jangan sampe) kalau ada cancel atau masalah di kota lain.

Hallo mba, saya ada rencana Dec ini mau ke shirakawago tanpa JR. rutenya tiba haneda main di tokyo 3 hari kemudian ke shirakawago nginep 1 malam, setelahnya ke osaka 5 malam dan kembali melalui Osaka. rencana tidak membeli JR, mau memakai transport ketengan:). apakah memungkinkan ya?. perhitungan kalkulasi transport bagaimana ya buatnya?.

    1. Halo juga evely, memungkinkan banget. Apalagi rutenya ini ga kembali ke Tokyo, akan lebih hemat kalau pakai bus. Untuk harga tiket kereta, bisa cek di hyperdia atau rome2rio. Bus bisa dicek di https://highway-buses.jp/. harga bisa geser2 dikit sih, ga saklek begitu, tapi paling nggak bisa ngasih gambaran kasarnya.

  12. hallo kak, apakah kalo aku pake JR hokuriku arch pass jatuhnya lebih murah dri transport transport yang di itin kakak ? makasih kak

    1. Halo, kalau diliatnya cuma transportasinya, bedanya tipis. Tapi mesti diitung juga ama penginapannya. Karena pake bus malem, bisa irit penginapan.

      Hitungan saya sih kemaren, pake JR Horikoru ama nggak beda sekitar 8.000-10.000 yen. (kemaren hiutngannya per malam penginapan sekitar 4000yen)
